Underneath the replica Ken Block Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V. body, the WR8 3.0 chassis is based on the Bullet 3.0 nitro monster truck, which means it’s massively tough and can take a real beating on or off the road! The WR8 3.0 uses the same tough bevel gear differentials, twin disc brakes and fully ball bearing-supported 4WD shaft drivetrain of the Bullet nitro truck, but adds the Nitro Star G3.0 High Output engine, a racing-style clutch, WR8 rally-style suspension geometry, custom-designed shock towers and dampers and extra-thick sway bars for extra control! Top it off with tarmac rally tires and bright blue Speedline wheels and you’ve got an instant head-turner in your hands!
The WR8 3.0 kit is completely pre-built, just like all RTR (Ready To Run) kits from HPI Racing. There are a few supplies you’ll need, which your HPI retailer will be happy to provide: fuel, a fuel bottle and a glow plug igniter with battery. Enough AA alkaline HPI Plazma batteries are included with the kit to power the hassle-free 2.4GHz radio system.
EASY TO DRIVE!
The HPI WR8 3.0 is super-easy to drive and get familiar with – simply pick up the controller with your left hand, put your left index finger into the trigger area, and then put your right hand on the steering wheel – it’s as natural as driving a real car! Turn the wheel to go left and right, and gently pull on the trigger with your left index finger to go forwards. To stop the car, gently push away from you with your left index finger. It takes seconds to get used to this easy operation, and in no time at all you’ll be ripping off jaw-dropping moves, just like Ken Block in his GRC races!
REPLICA SPEEDLINE WHEELS AND GRC TIRES
For the ultimate in replica looks and fantastic performance, every HPI WR8 with Ken Block’s Global Rallycross Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V. body is fitted with replica 11-spoke Speedline GRC wheels in Ken’s signature bright blue. The wheels really help the car stand out as a scale replica, and for extreme performance, the wheels are wrapped with semi-slick HPI tires made from real rubber. The rubber compound helps the car stick to asphalt or tarmac, and the treads increase traction on dusty surfaces and dirt for real GRC action!
Suspension Just Like Ken’s GRC Car!
Fans of racing cars, from real ones to little ones, know that to get the best out of your car you need to have a sturdy, tuneable suspension system. That’s why the HPI WR8 uses double wishbone suspension at all four corners, fitted with real coil over oil-filled shock absorbers and thick sway bars front and rear, just like real Global RallyCross cars! Thick main suspension arms are mated to durable uprights fitted with a pair of rubber-sealed ball bearings for performance that matches Ken’s Global RallyCross Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V.

All this function is nothing if you can’t customize the car to your liking. Although we’ve set the car to be just about perfect right out of the box, you can easily adjust loads of settings, exactly like a real racing car! Ride height, shock angle and more are simple to adjust if you want to dive under the hood – HPI make it easy to be your own GRC mechanic AND driver! G3.0 HIGH-OUTPUT ENGINE
The Nitro Star G3.0 HO engine is a super-powerful upgraded engine based on the already strong G3.0 used in the HPI Firestorm and Bullet 3.0 trucks. The engine is fitted with a steel flywheel for smooth idling and a racing-style 2-shoe clutch for excellent acceleration and throttle response. If you want wheelspin, you’ve got it! The power from the G3.0 HO engine is unbelievable, and with up to 32,000RPM you’ll get screamingly fast speeds at the pull of a trigger! A 2-stage air filter protects the carburetor opening from dirt and dust, and the tall forged aluminum heat sink head allows the engine to keep its cool. An all-aluminum exhaust system unlocks the horsepower from the engine and throws out a real trail of engine exhaust at top speed!
DUAL DISK BRAKES
With all the power the Nitro Star G3.0 HO puts out, the WR8 3.0 uses disc brakes to slow down, just like real racing cars! Twin steel disc brakes provide all the stopping power that’s needed for the car, and are set up out of the box to provide perfect, neutral brake action for predictable control as you approach the corners.
